Cantera
A wood-fired restaurant in ember and charcoal — a short menu, a reservation button that never leaves the screen, and hours that answer the only question a hungry visitor has.

Restaurant sites get opened at half past six by somebody standing on a pavement deciding where to eat. The questions are always the same: are you open, what is on, can I get a table.
The industry answer to that is a PDF menu that will not open on a phone, a homepage video that eats the data allowance, and the opening hours buried in a footer image.
Cantera is the restaurant configuration of Tier One in the Ember theme — charcoal, warm amber accent, Fraunces for the headlines.
The menu is on the page as text, twelve dishes with prices, so it can be read on a phone, searched, and indexed. Reserve a table is pinned in the header on every route. The hours table works out today's state live and says it in a sentence instead of making the reader parse a grid.
The gallery is plates that actually went out, presented at full width — the one place a restaurant site should spend its bandwidth.
A demo build. The point of it is that a restaurant should not need a rebuild every time the menu changes: the whole site reads from one content file, so a seasonal change is an edit and a redeploy.
Every route prerenders as static HTML, images arrive resized and lazy-loaded below the fold, and nothing on the page waits for JavaScript before it will show the address.
